Dayara Bugyal Trek is a mesmerizing journey through the vast meadows and snow-covered landscapes of Uttarakhand. Often referred to as the Best Winter Trek, the Dayara Bugyal Trek is a perfect blend of scenic beauty and thrilling adventure. The trek starts from either Raithal or Barsu and can be completed in either 3 days or 5 days, depending on the route you choose. The trek covers a distance of 20 KM and reaches an altitude of 12,447 feet. The trek is considered easy, making it a great choice for beginners and families. One of the highlights of the Dayara Bugyal Trek is the exploration of the Govind Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park. The park is home to a variety of flora and fauna, including Deodar cedar, Chir pine, Oak, and conifers like Spruce, Blue pine, and Silver fir. The trek offers breathtaking views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks, including Srikantha (6,133 m), Jaonli (6,632 m) & Draupadi ka Danda. On the route, trekkers go through amazing Oak forests and come across Barnala Meadows with Barnala Tal, a small lake with beautiful views of snow-capped peaks in the background. During the winter months, from December end to early March, the lush green meadows turn into a sprawling snow ground, making it an ideal destination for skiing or snowboarding. In contrast, the summer months, from April to June, bring milder temperatures and lush green landscapes.
