Microconcrete
What is Microconcrete?
Microconcrete, or microcement, is a polymer-based cement coating that can be deposited thinly over floors, walls, stairs, and even furniture. It provides a smooth, durable, and fashionable finish — one that closely resembles that of polished concrete but with much greater flexibility of application.
Unlike conventional concrete, microconcrete does not need joints or heavy equipment. It may be installed directly on top of existing surfaces such as cement, plaster, wood, or tiles, and is ideal for renovation applications where the least possible interference is needed.
The Attraction of Microconcrete in Luxury Design
1. Less is More
Luxury in contemporary design is not about extravagance and opulence. It’s clean lines, open spaces, and natural textures — principles that microconcrete is happy to enhance. Its high-gloss, matte finish creates a sense of continuity and calm, particularly in open-plan living rooms. It adds a contemporary, spa-like ambiance to interiors, perfectly in line with the trend for peaceful, low-clutter living.
